Nadirah was so helpful to our family in preparing for the arrival of our 2nd baby. Even though we are not first-time parents, Nadirah was very vital in the early days/weeks of our  transition to a family of four. We had three visits with Nadirah before baby came to go over birthing preferences, pregnancy stretches, and what to pack in our hospital bag and postpartum care prep. We planned to have a scheduled c-section and Nadirah was the perfect postpartum doula! The advice that Nadirah shared and her work with Mom in the hospital and at home with baby were crucial. At the hospital, Nadirah was respectful of the hospital staff-workers and communicated professionally. I had a mini panic attack before going into the OR and Nadirah was right there, calming me down with massages and calming music, and praying with me while I was prepping for the surgery. She also helped me with my first steps after the surgery (even holding my hair and barf bag when I was vomitting and dizzy from the anesthetic)! In these vulnerable moments, I really could not have imagined a better partner. She saw me go through some really unattractive times and was my anchor through it all! Nadirah was also instrumental to my first time nursing experience. Now, 4 months postpartum, I credit my breastfeeding nursing success to God's grace and His blessing to me in the form of Nadirah! Overall, we feel so lucky that Nadirah played a big part in such a pivotal family moment. We really could not have had the smooth transition to 2 kiddos without her.

Thank you Nadirah for being such a sweet supporter of our family as we welcomed our new baby! Even though it was my second birth, I felt much more informed of my options, cared for, and seen & heard this time around with her guidance. After a traumatic first birth experience (where I didn’t have a doula), it was healing to have Nadirah’s care and expertise along each step of the way, from prenatal visits with my husband to postpartum and breastfeeding help. The way in which she communicated information about labor, delivery, and postpartum felt a lot more in-depth and personal than what other healthcare providers had shared before - I didn’t realize that I had options and could advocate for myself. She invited questions and created space to have open conversations and would frequently check in to gauge how I was feeling about the process. Even with our virtual visit format, I could see how attentive she was to my needs - she would try different techniques if she sensed that I was uncomfortable. Her patience, encouragement, and constant communication made such a difference for me in feeling less anxious and more calm (and even excited!) going into this birth and postpartum time. Our family is blessed to have worked with her!

Nadirah went out of her way to care for us and make us feel comfortable regarding every aspect of preparing for, during, and post labor & delivery! During pregnancy, she listened and responded so well to my preferences for my birth plan as well as how I wanted to go about the pregnancy! She offers great suggestions and techniques for labor that really helped me relax during the whole process. I couldn’t ask for a more smooth labor & delivery and I really think that has everything to do with how Nadirah supported us during labor (from breathing to massages and even directing my husband to how he could best help).
